Touchwood has its origins in every culture in the world. The tree of life is usually in the center of a garden such as Eden Christianity. There are many examples of a tree being the mother of creation. There is also some speculation that to “touch wood “ refers the cross that Jesus was crucified on. Kids play in tree houses and there is really nothing more satisfying that sitting under a large tree while the branches and leaves ungulate in a gentle breeze. Yes, trees are the substance that has created a whole history of touchwood and its association with our social subconscious.
Apparently touchwood will bring people luck? It is said to ward off evil and allow good energies to enter ones life. I know that I would not have survived that bus accident if I didn’t have my touchwood on me.
